Let me tell you how this blog post started. Several people posted this on facebook this week.
Now to discuss the actress listed below. None of these women are fat. In fact the biggest of all these ladies I would say was Marilyn Monroe and at her biggest was only 140lbs. Her measurements
Bust: 35-37 inches
Waist: 22-23 inches
Hips: 35-36 inches
Bra size: 36D
Waist: 22-23 inches
Hips: 35-36 inches
Bra size: 36D
22-23 inch waist that is smaller than your average supermodel these days!! And Elizabeth Taylor had the same. Check out this picture of Elizabeth Taylor the day of her wedding (one of her weddings)
Her waist looks pretty freakin small to me.
I think people want to make Marilyn Monroe and ladies of a different era the poster girls for fat women. But um wait a minute; let’s get a few things straight. First these ladies were not fat, curvy maybe, but not fat. Second these ladies were not the only stars of their time. They had to stand next to supermodels like Twiggy.
And I think taking the extreme of thin and not always fit and comparing it to an average size 14 isn’t fair either. I mean I think we are all going to say the girl on the left (below) is prettier and no one wants to look like the girl on the right.
But ladies here is the hard hitting truth, none of you look like Marilyn Monroe! Not just in the face but body either. You want to say well Marilyn was plus sized and so am I, and it is society that changed and that is their problem not mine. Ladies here is Marilyn and what she looked like. Not thin but healthy.
Or worse you look like this
Oh wait that was me!!
See I know the things you tell yourself to justify the weight. You know why? Because I use to tell myself the same load of crap. In the mirror you want to tell yourself you look like Marilyn and that you are just a curvy girl. You tell yourself that you still have a pretty face and that it’s ok to have seconds or the dessert. You show no restraint and you justify it every day.
Another post that I wanted to point out was this
In the video the lady basically says you cannot look perfect so don’t try. Really? Listen I want to make myself the best me I can be every day. I may not be supermodel pretty or a perfect body but I am going to do what I can do. And for me that means eat right and exercise and a little expensive cold cream here and there.
No more excuses! Really! Be the best you, you can be. And I doubt the best you is a size 14 or bigger!
Point well made. Loved it! Fat isn't healthy. Never was...never will be. I looked at that facebook post everyone was laughing at and though the girls on the top looked great. Maybe I am in the minority here, but hey...Here's to better health! You need to post the skinny pic of you now next to your old self photo. Love the fatletes name.
