What Does She Eat

Well poo, this blog isn’t writing its’ self.  Many of you have asked about my diet
My diet, here is what an average day looks like for me.
I eat a small breakfast, when I remember to eat breakfast, either a pancake with the kids or oatmeal.  I do not add sugar to my oatmeal, and my pancakes are home made with flax seed and usually some kind of fruit.   I do not eat any of it with butter, sugar, and syrup.
For lunch I have either my Shakeology or a sandwich.  If I have a sandwich I never have a side item, like chips or a cookie. The sandwich is either veggie or turkey.  If I order a sandwich from a restaurant, I never eat the whole thing, only half, because a sandwich from any restaurant or fast food place is twice the portion I need.
For dinner I eat either rice with veggies, or pasta, or chicken with veggies.  I am not carb shy, I love em, and I just don’t eat them all day long.  If for some reason I cannot eat the dinner I have made my family because of my allergies my back up is always a bowl of grapenuts with coconut milk.
I eat snacks all most all day, small snacks.  I must eat 2-3 bananas a day and I eat peanut butter by the spoonfuls.  I also eat a lot of fruit and fruits like berries are my favorite evening snack  You cannot over eat raspberries and if you did, you would just being cleaning out your colon (ha ha that grossed me out).  When I eat packaged foods or snacks like nuts, I only eat a serving, and I measure what a serving is according to the package of what I am eating.  Many prepared foods or packaged foods are easy to over eat.
I prefer to work out before I eat. I normally stop eating after 9 pm.  I drink only water most of the time.  I drink juice and milk maybe once a week.  I never drink soda or coffee.  I drink lots of water all day long, but especially before bed (I’m not sure why).
I avoid dairy, as hard as that it.  I avoid meat (I just don’t like it that much).  I avoid potatoes; again that one is difficult for me, because I love a good fried potato.  I avoid the extras that come with meals when I am out.  I don’t eat the side dishes and I don’t add bread or salads to my meals.  That’s just more calorie.  I also avoid seconds.
When eating out I always leave half my meal on the plate.  I don’t order appetizers or desserts.  I prefer clean beautiful food over bar food.

See, I told you, I don’t just eat salad.  BTW I say that as I sit here in the Vegas airport eating a salad at 5 pm, which is also my first meal of the day.  I too, get busy and forget to eat; it’s a bad habit of many working woman and moms and is bad for the body.  It will be harder for me to work out tomorrow because I have not ate enough today, so I will pay for my mistake today.
